Molton Brown Heaven

I visited the Molton Brown shop during my trip to the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park. I'm in love with the brand's scents and packaging (like the Black Pepper line), so I had to stop by. My hands were freezing and dry, so when the salesman offered to treat me to a mini scrub, let's just say he didn't have to ask me twice.
He treated my hands to the Warming Eucalyptus & Ginger Scrub that contains Dead Sea salt, root ginger and eucalyptus oil. When I rinsed the scrub from my hands, to say they were soft is an understatement. I couldn't believe how my hands felt. Molton Brown products are definitely a splurge, but well worth it.

Warming Eucalyptus & Ginger Body Scrub $48

Definitely at the top of my wish list!

Events: Real Simple x L'Oreal Pop-Up Shop

As I mentioned in my last post, this weekend I visited the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park. Citibank also presented a Real Simple Pop-Up Shop, which housed the L'Oreal Boutique during the event.
L'Oreal graciously offered free beauty and hair mini-makeovers, and I had the chance to have my face beautified by celeb makeup artist, Tiffany Hall-Scarmana.

Update: The lovely folks at GenConnect had Tiffany share her holiday makeup tips, and gift ideas!
I always have a difficult time finding the right shade for my skin, so Tiffany mixed two True Match Liquid Foundation shades that were perfect for my complexion. She also applied the Studio Secrets One Sweep Blush to my cheeks, and gave me a sample of the Voluminous False Lashes mascara (one of my faves).
There was also a makeup demonstration with tips on how to apply foundation and blush, and a hair demonstration on achieving a chic updo.
Samples were also given to the first 50 people in line. Thank goodness my boyfriend stood in line for me while I got my makeup done!

I can't wait to try the Colour Riche Lip Gloss (in Blushing Berry), and the EverSleek hair products.

Great event from Real Simple and L'Oreal!

A Glimpse of My Weekend...

I love exploring NYC during the holiday season - the crowds of people holiday shopping, the cold winter air, and the tons of activities around town. To celebrate our anniversary this year, my boyfriend and I decided to have a day of play!
Our first stop was The Gap (I was cold and wanted a cozy scarf) and the first thing we noticed was a gorgeous Christmas tree made from gift boxes. Cool, right?
We then stopped into the Wired Pop-Up in Times Square, to test out new gadgets.
My boyfriend fell in love with this 3-D camera and television, and I have to say, it's amazing! Definitely better than seeing a 3-D movie in theaters.
The Dylan's Candy Bar Pop-Up was not about a block up, so we stopped in to escape from the cold for a bit. We didn't end up picking any treats (the line was ridiculous), but this enormous gingerbread house was worth stopping in for.
Stay tuned for my experience at the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park!

What did you do this weekend?
