Victoria's Secret: Bombshell Forever

As a huge fan of the original Bombshell Forever fragrance, I was stoked when Victoria Secret announced the launch of Bombshell Forever.  The original Bombshell has been my go-to summer scent since I first tested in store ages ago. It's really the fruity top notes in it that I love, and the woodsy musk dry down is what makes it so irresistible. Bombshell Forever has the same qualities and if anything, it's Bombshell's big sister - sexier and more mature. The prominent notes of boysenberry, lavender flower and pamplewood make it so unique and perfect for day-to-night. If you're a fan of the original, definitely try Bombshell Forever and thank me later!

It's about that time of year to switch out my heavier signature scents in favor of lighter, fresher fragrances for the warmer months. In addition to my obsession with See by Chloe (and another scent I'll be telling you about in another post), these three scents are so amazing if you're looking for something new. I've had samples of quite a few scents lately, and these are my faves!

Gucci Guilty Black - Notes: Pink Pepper, Red Fruits, Violet, Patchouli, Amber

Diptyque Philosykos - Top notes are fig leaf and fig; middle notes are coconut and green notes; base notes are cedar, woody notes and fig tree. 

YSL Parisienne - Notes: Cranberry, Blackberry, Rose, Violet, Peony, Vetiver, Musk, Sandalwood, Patchouli

Fragrance Launch: Sarah Jessica Parker to Release The Lovely Collection

Following the success of her first fragrance, Lovely, Sarah Jessica Parker is set to release three new scents aptly called The Lovely Collection. Keep reading for photos and more information about each scent.

The fragrance - Fresh. Soft. Illuminating.

Dawn. The word itself evokes a fresh, vibrant beauty. The scent is the essence of light breaking through a cloud of fragrant orchids and lingering with a soft glow. Top notes of fresh citrus, violet leaves and angelica awaken a bouquet of radiant orchids and the warm embrace of tahitian vanilla, vetiver and translucent musks.

Beauty | Winter Fragrance Faves

I typically wear a fragrance every day, but in the colder months, I'm never without one or more of my favorite scents. I'm attracted to spicy, woody, warm scents, and I love musk. Not you're grandmother's musk, but that warm amber, sensual scent that is so perfect for cold days. My favorite scents are along the same lines: with notes of vanilla, musk, amber, and a blend of spices. Below are the ones that I reach for most often.

The Body Shop White Musk Perfume Oil $24 - Top notes: velvety musk, floral lily, sensual ylang ylang, with hints of fresh galbanum and basil Middle notes:velvety musk, oriental jasmine, floral lily, rose Base notes:velvety musk, oriental jasmine, floral lily, iris, rose, sweet vanilla, fresh amber, patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver, fruity peach. I put just a dab of this on my pulse points, and it literally lasts all day. I also like to layer this under Burberry Brit as well.

Kiehl's Original Musk $42 - Special musk 'recipe' begins with an initial creamy, fresh citrus burst of bergamot nectar and orange blossom, followed by a soft floral bouquet of rose, lily, ylang-ylang and neroli. Finally, Original Musk Eau de Toilette dries down to a warm, sensual oriental finish of tonka nut, white patchouli and, of course, musk—the soul of this distinctively modern scent. It smells as delicious as it sounds!  I love wearing this on a night out, and I even spray my sheets with it.

Burberry Brit $72 - With notes of Italian Lime, Icy Pear, Green Almond, White Peony, Sugared Almonds, Amber, Mahogany, Vanilla, and Tonka Bean. I love wearing this scent on its own, or with White Musk. On its own, it lasts for hours and is perfect for date night!

CLEAN Ultimate $69 - Opens with juicy notes of Italian bergamot and Provencal lemon. Lavender, jasmine, white rose and muguet create a floral heart. Neroli and musk add some warmth to this distinctively clean scent. The CLEAN range of fragrances are all amazing, and well worth the price. I spray this on after bathing, and the scent lingers beautifully on my skin. 

Calvin Klein Euphoria $64 - An addictive oriental scent that hints at exotic fruits like pomegranate and succulent persimmon and seductive florals such as black orchid and the sensual champaca flower. Liquid amber, mahogany wood and cream accord complete the rich, creamy and signature scent. This is definitely the sexiest fragrance I own. The one that garners the most "What are you wearing?!" responses from people. There's something so distinctive about it, and I love that the tiniest amount goes a long way. It can be a bit much for daytime, but I do reach for it when I'm feeling extra confident.

A is for Aldo Fragrance

Love: CLEAN Fragrances

The thought of the perfect, fresh out of the dryer laundry scent in a bottle has always appealed to me, but I could never quite get my hands on it. I've been aware of CLEAN fragrances for a while, but I couldn't rationalize spending $69 on a 2.14 oz bottle. On a lazy Saturday morning, I was browsing HSN and saw what has now changed my life. The special value of the day was a set of CLEAN fragrances, with matching body souffles for $66. I quickly did the math and knew I had to grab the set ASAP.

The set includes 1 oz bottles  and small body souffles of the most popular CLEAN scents: Warm Cotton, Shower Fresh, Original CLEAN, Fresh Laundry and Ultimate. They also threw in a sample of the newest scent, Skin.

When I got the set home, I was ecstatic. The Warm Cotton is my absolute favorite, but I like mixing the scents together to create my own personal creation.

The CLEAN set is probably the best purchase I've made all year; I often get stopped and asked what I'm wearing. I definitely recommend any of the CLEAN scents if you love a simple, classic fragrance that's the next best thing to wearing just-washed clothes!

Style: Beyonce Launches 'Pulse' Fragrance

Beyonce's third fragrance, Pulse, will hit stores this September. With notes of pear blossom, peony and blooming jasmine, I'm definitely curious!
