Alexa Chung's Leather-Effect Nails

At first glance, Alexa Chung seemed to be rocking a plain, matte-black manicure at the British Fashion Awards. But according to her Twitter, she was actually wearing the now sold out leather-effect nail color from Nails Inc. I wasn't too crazy about the suede-effect trend, but I'm curious to see how this would look and feel on the nails.
